VOCATION(Monday)
Scripture Reading: Lk 10:2
“The harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few,
so pray the Lord of the harvest
to send more labourers into the harvest”.
REFLECTION:
May the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus
allow us to identify with Christ Crucified
and to show compassion for the crucified of today.
Let the Paschal Mystery move us to silent contemplation
and bold proclamation of God’s Word.
May we bear the marks of the Passion of Jesus
in our way of life.
Help us to encounter
those who have been shaped and influenced by prayer,
especially prayer, centered on the Passion of Jesus.
Like mary, the Mother of Jesus,
may we Passionists ponder the many things
that happen in our lives and in our hearts.
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, we thank you for calling each one of us
to be a Passionist Missionary.
Help us to spread the fire of your love
to all the people of India and beyond.
Inspire us to reach out to gather workers into the harvest.
You have told us that the harvest is plentiful
but the workers are few.
FORMATION (Tuesday)
Scripture Reading: Wis 15:7
“For when a potter kneads the soft earth
and laboriously molds each vessel for our service,
he fashions out of the same clay both the vessels
that serve clean uses and those for contrary uses,
making all in like manner;
but which shall be the use of
each of these the worker in clay decides”.
REFLECTION:
The formative journey of the young
as well as those out of initial formation,
in the Passionist Charism,
must help them to realize their inner dynamism.
They should cooperate in their moulding
as persons called and sent by the CRUCIFIED
to the crucified ones of today.
It demands a letting go and letting God.
PRAYER:
God, our Creator,
You have formed us out of clay
and infused your life into us.
Thank you for calling us into
the Passionist Congregation.
Continue to form us
into the image of your Crucified Son.
Help all the formators to be effective
in the task of forming the young
and inspire the young to open themselves
to the demands of moulding
as the zealous apostles of the Passion of Jesus Christ.
We make this prayer
through the same Christ our Lord, Amen. |

COMMUNITY
(Wednesday)
Scripture Reading: Mt 18: 19-20
“Again I say to you,
if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask,
it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
For where two or three are gathered in my name,
there am I in the midst of them”.REFLECTION:
Community is a spiritual communion of its members
in Christ and around Christ in prayer, work,
search for truth, study, problems,
difficulties, success, and so on.
It is a family
where everybody cares for everybody else
and an opportunity to fulfill
the concrete command of Jesus Christ to be one.PRAYER:
Make us understand, Lord,
that we were created not as finished and closed beings,
but to grow and move towards others and Christ;
that we must share in the richness of others
and let others share in our richness.
Above all, grant us
the grace of dialogue and communication
in our efforts to build our communities
according to the teachings of our founder
St. Paul of the Cross.
Grant this through Christ our Lord, Amen.
MINISTRY (Thursday)
Scripture Reading: Luke 4:18
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed…..”
REFLECTION:
Preaching the message of the Cross
is the hallmark of Passionist way of life.
As Passionists, we are called in a unique way
to preach the good news to the poor,
the suffering and the marginalized.
Our founder tirelessly preached the Crucified Christ
and brought healing to many.
In the world today we are called to bring that healing
and comfort to the lives of people
by our deep faith in the Crucified Christ
and being witnesses of the Cross in today’s broken world.
PRAYER:
God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
bless each member of the Vicariate with the missionary zeal.
Inspire and sustain us
as instruments of your saving message of the Cross.
Help us to walk in the footsteps of our founder
in proclaiming the message of the Cross.
We make our prayer through Christ our Lord, Amen.
